Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:The Operations Coordinator is responsible to ensure capabilities are in place to meet all service level requirements with regards to survey, trained crew, packing supplies and equipment, warehouse, trucks, health & safety. Central point contact for local, private and corporate requests. (X-D2D & I-D2D).
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS:
- The central point of contact for local, private and corporate requests. (X-D2D & I-D2D)
- Response to customer acknowledges the request and confirms they will be contacted for a survey
- Assigns surveys to either local offices or approved agents
- Promote & perform all video-estimate surveys for Agent, Private and Corporate when required
- Review survey results, confirms survey is complete and accurate
- Input survey results into Intrack
- Submit survey to quoting team with deadlines
- Receives job notification from the assigned Move Coordinator
- Review and understand the detailed scope of work/special requirements and compare with the survey
- Attending all planning meetings with Move Coordinator and vendors and/or local office
- Ensure that vendor and/or local office have all capabilities/resources to perform the required services
- Give confirmation to Move Coordinator that everything is ready for the job to begin
- Escalation points for changes/issues arising during the course of the shipment
- Receive feedback from Move Coordinators on vendor / local office performance. Identify and implement corrective action where needed.
- Continuously review the quality improvements to ensure they are being followed and are effective
- Ensure effective and efficient use of resources, adhering to both metrics, costings and controls.
- Keep track of all packing supplies stock for all Move One office locations in Africa (carton, tape, bubble-wrap, shrink-wrap, wood)
- Responsible for ordering packing material for restocking.
- Ensure that all stored customer goods / Move One goods are tightly controlled in terms of costings, security and Health and Safety.
- Support the supply chain team in vendor selection
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years experience in managing packing teams.
- Strong English and French skills (written and verbal) are essential.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- A heightened degree of financial awareness.
- Personal experience of international moving preferred.
- Qualified trainer preferred.
WORK REQUIREMENTS:

- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
