Position Purpose
The position will be responsible for the overall deployment and the monitoring of all information systems and technology activities within the organization.
Responsibilities include all applications, development activities and user support; Develop IT-related budgets, as well as an annual and strategic plan for the department which supports the mid and long-term business development; Coordinate organizational technology initiatives and develop long term IT operational plan.
Responsibilities / Duties
To establish standard Information Technology procedures and policies throughout the organization.
Responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining the information systems and procedures necessary to support the business processes.
Direct the design, delivery and implementation of new IT systems or applications, technical infrastructure or information systems.
Ensure the strategic and business planning within Information Technology supports the strategic, business intentions and objectives of the organization.
Ensure that effective and appropriate solutions are in place to protect the organization’s systems and data against loss, unauthorized access etc. and where necessary, to arrange for the use of consultants and contractors for the maintenance and development.
Respond to changes in the environment, monitoring the needs and provisions of effective IT solutions for users and adapt workflows and workloads to ensure that tasks and/or end user requirements are delivered on time.
Be abreast of innovative approaches and developments in Information Technology.
Setting and managing of the IT budget ensuring optimum use is made of available resources
Manage the procurement, development and implementation of hardware and software facilities to ensure timely and cost-effective provision of service.
Lead the maintenance, control, upgrade and development of IT systems for the future technical and operational requirements of the organization as planned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or any other IT related field or relevant experience.
15+ years of experience in IT, mainly in Application Development, ERP deployment & support .
5+ years of experience in IT Outsourcing (from service migration to service management)
Experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Architecture highly desirable.
5+ years of experience managing an IT staff, including direct/indirect employees, technical specialists, business analysts and external vendors.
5+ years creating, owing and managing an IT budget.
Skills
Good communication, interpersonal, customer service and writing skills.
Combination of strong analytical skills and strategic thinking to demonstrate the ability to translate analytical insights into proposed operational or strategic changes.
Project Management Skills are also highly desirable.
Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
