Responsibilities / Duties / Functions Tasks
Responsible for ensuring that team understands expectations and consistently meet or exceed KPI’s.
Provide team leadership and coaching
Keep the manager informed of task accomplishment, issues and status
Provide status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule
Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team
Provide guidance to the team based on management direction
Monitoring, measure and manage performance and service quality of the team
Coordinate the review, presentation and release of reports, analysis and any other documentation
Coordinate meetings with the Global Manager to discuss any type of impediments,
needed resources or issues/delays in completing the task
Ensure jobs are performed to satisfy the companies requirements, cost and revenue - No costs are absorbed
Monitor the progress of jobs and services throughout the region - Planning, Execution and Billing.
Systematic review of the jobs to identify any challenges before hand and discuss the same with team - Proactive and not reactive
Establish times, places and agendas for planning of the jobs and discuss any challenges with the jobs
Develop processes, design documentation standards, techniques and tools to support task performance
Familiarize the team with the customer needs, specifications and communication
Assure that the team addresses all relevant issues within the specifications and timelines
Skills
Qualification
Minimum 5 years Logistics Operations Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work well under pressure and able to work long hours if required
Outstanding organizational skills and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Preferred university graduate
Computer literate (PC applications: Word, Excel, Open office, Windows)
Talent for recognizing the opportunities for process improvement
Experience in handling shipments for Middle East, Afghanistan and Iraq
Prior global shipping management experience is highly desirable.
